PUSAN — Entertainment firm Key East, in which Korean star Bae Yong-joon is a major shareholder, has concluded a deal to co-finance three features by CJ Entertainment.
The films include Park Chan-wook’s anticipated “I’m a Cyborg, But That’s Okay,” which is scheduled to be released in December, as well as upcoming works by directors Lee Moo-young and Choi Ik-hwan.
The investment deal, which was negotiated in the spring and signed on Thursday, totals $550,000. Key East also expressed an interest in continuing its co-operation with CJ in various content-related projects in the future.
Key East’s stock value soared to 61,500 won ($64.70) in early spring after the news of Bae Yong-joon’s investment in the company, but currently stands at 21,250 won ($22.40).
