InnoForm, Boku wear ‘White’

Duo team for Mandarin-lingo laffer

SINGAPORE — InnoForm Media and local helmer Kelvin Tong’s Boku Films are to co-produce horror comedy-feature “Men in White.”

The $500,000 Mandarin-language feature is slated for release second-quarter 2007.

Written and directed by Tong, “Men in White” centers on four Singaporeans who die on the same day, finding themselves back on the streets as clueless ghosts.

Tong’s previous works include “The Maid,” which won this year’s Asian film award from the European Fantastic Film Festival Federation at the Puchon Intl. Fantastic Film Festival, South Korea; and 2005’s “Love Story,” a collaboration with Andy Lau’s Focus Films, which garnered Tong director honors at the 2006 Singapore Intl. Film Festival.

Innoform Media aims to produce five or six movies over the next two years, through either investment or production deals. It recently invested in Jack Neo’ s “Just Follow Law,” scheduled for Chinese New Year release in 2007.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Singapore with regional offices in Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, InnoForm Media develops and licenses children’s edutainment products, sources music/film and offers publishing, distribution and recording services.
