Indie distrib Artistic License Films has picked up North American rights to Alison Murray’s semiautobiographical feature “Mouth to Mouth,” exec produced by Canuck auteur Atom Egoyan.
Pic — produced via M2M Films, Egoli Tossell Film and the Hellhound banners — stars Ellen Page as a teen drifting through Berlin who joins a band of young misfits, called Street People Armed with Radical Knowledge.
Simone Urdl also exec produced the pic, which world preemed at the San Francisco Film Festival, with Egoyan. Anne Beresford and Judy Tossell produced.
Film picked up a trio of awards at the Brooklyn Film Festival.
This film “reflects much of (the director’s) experiences and activates so many interesting political and personal issues with its strong cast and distinctive message,” Artistic License prexy Sande Zeig said of the project.
Forensic Film’s Scott Macaulay repped the pic’s rights.
Artistic License will roll out the pic in May.
