Hope is particularly active this year in Cannes, having announced projects with Todd Solondz and Alan Ball.

Solondz’s credits include “Happiness” and “Welcome to the Dollhouse.”
Hope is also producing Alan Ball’s next film, which he’ll write and direct, about a young woman, Jasira, who’s the daughter of a Lebanese-American father and an American mother, who comes of age during the first Gulf War.
Hope produces on behalf of his shingle This Is That, with Steven Rales’ Collage Cinematographie and in association with Scott Rudin Prods. This Is That’s Anne Carey and Anthony Bregman exec produce with Rudin. Celluloid Dreams is selling the pic in Cannes.
The producers were able to find full financing through equity sources and a start date has been locked for Aug. 2.
