Katherine Heigl is set to star in Universal Pictures’ parenthood laffer “Knocked Up,” which Judd Apatow is set to write and helm.
Heigl, who can be seen in ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” is taking over the lead femme role from Anne Hathaway, who recently ankled the project.
She joins a cast that already includes Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, all of whom appeared in Apatow’s helming debut, “The 40-Year-Old Virgin.” Apatow is producing “Knocked” with Shauna Robertson and Clayton Townsend. Rogen and Evan Goldberg are exec producing.
Heigl’s most recent feature credit was in the Johnny Knoxville starrer “The Ringer.”
