Fox kneads Dune dough

Deal to give studio flexibility, protection of prod'n slate

Fox Filmed Entertainment has closed a theatrical slate financing deal with Dune Entertainment under which Dune has committed to invest some $325 million spread across 28 Fox releases.

Deal will provide Fox with increased financial flexibility and protection for the studio’s production and release slate.

Fox retains all of its distribution rights worldwide to the films in which Dune will invest.

Dresdner Bank provided debt financing to Dune in connection with the transaction.

Dune is a newly formed company focused on the ownership of entertainment content. It is an affiliate of Dune Capital, a broad-based, multibillion-dollar hedge fund.
