Fox Intl. has promoted Kieran Breen to senior VP of marketing to develop and supervise the strategic marketing plans of all Fox releases overseas.
Breen will oversee the Los Angeles, regional and field marketing operations and report to co-presidents Tomas Jegeus and Paul Hanneman.
Breen has been marketing director at Fox UK since 2000 and spearheaded campaigns for “Star Wars: Episode II,” “Star Wars: Episode III,” “Die Another Day,” both “Ice Age” films, “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Borat,” “Walk the Line” and “28 Days Later.”
Breen came to Fox from Universal Pictures Intl., where he served as marketing director for three years.
Several other Fox Intl. execs have also been promoted, including Christi Mykles and Mark Davis to VP creative advertising slots, while Melanie Bartlett has become VP of strategic marketing, joining Britta Gampper who holds the same title. Martin Gaiss, who has served as director of international publicity, has been appointed VP of creative content and Kimberly Wire has been promoted to director of international publicity, replacing Gaiss.
Elizabeth Kesses will take Breen’s former position as marketing director of Fox UK. She’s from an agency background, having overseen campaigns for Lucasfilm and DreamWorks.
