Project previously set up at HBO as comedy series
“Garlic and Sapphires,” a film based on the memoirs of food writer Ruth Reichl, has been set up at Fox 2000. Cary Brokaw’s Avenue Pictures is producing. “Garlic” was previously set up at HBO as a half-hour comedy series but was put into turnaround. The project was redeveloped as a feature and sold to Fox, where Jeremy Leven (“The Notebook”) is penning the screenplay.
