Grants to go to filmmakers in 'Spotlight'

The Fledgling Fund will present $20,000 in new cash awards at this year’s IFP Market.

The two grants of $10,000 each will go to filmmakers participating in the “Spotlight on Documentaries” section of the IFP Market, running Sept. 17-21 in New York City.

The Fledgling Fund Award for Socially Conscious Documentaries and the Fledgling Fund Award for an Emerging Latino Filmmaker will be presented at this year’s IFP Market Awards Luncheon on Sept. 21.

Recipient of the Emerging Latino Award will be invited to participate in the IFP’s fall mentorship program.

The Fledgling Fund Awards deadline for submissions for “Spotlight on Documentaries” and a consideration for awards is June 5.
