‘Fissures’ reopening

Joe Dante and Elizabeth Stanley are teaming to produce an English-language remake of Gallic pic “Ecoute le temps” (“Fissures”), which world preems at the AFI Film Festival today.

Producers unveiled the pact for remake rights at AFM on Saturday.

Pic follows a sound engineer who uses her equipment to investigate her mother’s murder.

Eduardo Rodriguez is already attached to helm the remake, and Greg Tak has been attached to adapt the screenplay.

Pic will be produced through the Medal Luna Prods. banner with Elizabeth Stanley Pictures.

Original “Temps” was written and helmed by Alante Alfandari and produced by Antoine Simkine. Emilie Dequenne, Ludmila Mikael, Mathieu Demy and Jacques Spiesser star.

Wide Management was repping rights on the pic.
