‘Family’ man rolls with Fox

Scribe-helmer to reteam with London on untitled pic

Fox 2000 will finance the next film from “The Family Stone” scribe-helmer Thomas Bezucha.

Bezucha, who will write and direct again, is reteaming with “Stone” producer Michael London on the untitled film, a drama with comedic elements that Bezucha sold on a pitch.

The protagonist is a young widow in her 30s who tries to deal with being the suddenly single mother of a 12-year-old son. As she falls back in love, a triangle develops among the woman, her suitor and the boy.

Fox 2000 had first crack at Bezucha’s next project because of the original deal the studio made for “The Family Stone.”

Fox 2000 exec veep Elizabeth Gabler, who supervised “Stone,” will shepherd the new pic.
