Documentary film festival Ambulante, set up last year by Mexican thesps Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal via their Canana shingle, will unspool a second edition in February.
Exhib Cinepolis will host the traveling fest as it continues to promote docu distribution in Mexico.
Inaugural fest, run as a nonprofit, drew an aud of more than 12,500 last spring in 15 Mexican cities.
The British Film Institute recently screened a selection of Ambulante’s docus during its Mexico Cinema Now retrospective. Ambulante will tour the U.S. in December and Spain in 2007.
Canana’s first docu will be Luna’s directorial debut on the life of Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez, due out next year.
