Constantin Film has recruited former Bavaria Film producer Reinhard Kloos to oversee production of family films at the producer-distrib.
Kloos, who will focus on CGI pics, headed Bavaria Pictures, a subsidiary of Bavaria Film, where he produced the upcoming CGI-animated “Urmel aus dem Eis,” about a baby dinosaur that emerges out of a prehistoric egg.
An industry veteran, Kloos has worked as a producer in various capacities at Bavaria, Constantin and Studio Babelsberg, where he headed Babelsberg Film.
As head of production at Odeon Film, a former Bavaria subsidiary, he produced Joaquin Phoenix starrer “Buffalo Soldiers,” “Asterix and Obelix vs. Caesar” and Mira Sorvino starrer “The Triumph of Love.”
Bavaria last month agreed to sell Odeon to David Groenewold’s GFP.
