Cinema Expo Intl. has tapped Warner Bros. Intl.’s exec veep of European distribution, Monique Esclavissat, and the studio’s exec veep of European marketing, Con Gornell, to jointly receive its annual achievement award in distribution and marketing.
Execs — who were both upped earlier this year to be jointly responsible for the development and execution of the studios’ overall European theatrical strategy — will receive the honor June 29 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress Center.
Confab — in its 15th year — runs June 26-29.
Esclavissat and Gornell report to Warner Bros. Pictures Intl. prexy of distribution Veronika Kwan-Rubinek and prexy of marketing Sue Kroll.
In 2005, Warners grossed more than $2 billion internationally with a slate including “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Batman Begins” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
