Capricci tilts at ‘Honor’ pic

'Quixote' riff also finds home in Portugal

France’s Capricci Films, a producer-distributor of art pics, has taken all French rights to Spaniard Albert Serra’s “Quixote” riff, “Honor de cavalleria,” which screened in Cannes’ Directors Fortnight last month.

Barcelona-based Notro Films, “Honor’s” co-producer, sales agent and Spanish distributor, has also licensed all Portuguese rights to Paolo Branco’s art pic distrib Madragoa Films.

Pic is produced by Notro, Serra’s Andergraun Films and Luis Minarro’s Eddie Saeta.

Like Miguel de Cervantes’ comic classic, it contrasts Don Quixote and Sancho Panza’s delusions and reality with hardly one word uttered.
