‘Barnacles’ sticks at Revolution

Sister story optioned for Todd pair to produce

Revolution Studios has optioned “The Taxonomy of Barnacles,” a first novel by producer Galt Niederhoffer, for Suzanne and Jennifer Todd to produce.

Book, recently published by St. Martin’s Press, is the story of six sisters who have been raised by their eccentric father, Barry Barnacle, in a fabulous Fifth Avenue apartment filled with his scientific curiosities. Now that most of the sisters have come of age, Barry proposes a contest: Whichever daughter can most spectacularly carry on his name will inherit his fortune, while the others will be left out in the cold.

Niederhoffer produced IFC Films’ “The Baxter,” starring Elizabeth Banks and Peter Dinklage, and IFC’s upcoming “Lonesome Jim,” directed by Steve Buscemi.

Team Todd produced Warner Bros.’ romantic comedy “Must Love Dogs” as well as Revolution’s upcoming “Zoom,” starring Tim Allen and Courteney Cox.
