Rob Cohen will direct “Arrow” for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Brandon Noonan is writing the screenplay, set in the world of mixed martial arts. Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road is producing along with Cohen’s Nowita Prods.
Cohen (“The Fast and the Furious,” “Stealth”) came up with the idea for “Arrow,” then brought in Noonan.
Noonan also wrote “Dem,” based on the book by William Melvin Kelley; it’s being developed by Pretty Pictures.
Upcoming projects for Cohen include “Big Bosoms and Square Jaws: The Biography of Russ Meyer, King of the Sex Film” and a live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime “Kite,” which he’s producing with Anant Singh.
Iwanyk (“Firewall”) is in production on sports drama “We Are Marshall” for Warners.
