McGuigan counts on ‘Four’

TWC has wild 'Knights' ahead

Helmer Paul McGuigan has signed on to direct “Four Knights” for the Weinstein Co.

Project is based on Paul Webb’s play “Four Knights in Knaresboro.” Webb will adapt his own work for the screen, with shooting pegged to start this fall in the U.K. Casting is expected to be announced shortly.

Laurence Bowen of U.K.-based production shingle Feelgood Fiction is producing. U.K.-based Colin Vaines, exec veep of European production and development, and Rhodri Thomas, director of development and production, are overseeing for the Weinstein Co.

McGuigan directed the recent MGM release “Lucky Number Slevin,” starring Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Lucy Liu and Bruce Willis. His other credits include “Wicker Park” and “The Reckoning.”
