Fox ups McCabe to exec VP

He fills newly created position at studio

Jamie McCabe has been promoted to the newly created position of executive VP for worldwide pay-per-view, video-on-demand and electronic sell-through for 20th Century Fox Film, effectively immediately.

He reports to Peter Levinsohn, president of the worldwide pay TV and digital media division at Fox.

In his newly expanded role, McCabe will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of Fox’s movie and TV content in the VOD and electronic sell-through markets.

Most recently, as senior VP for this area, the exec had overseen product deals with such category leaders as Amazon, AOL, CinemaNow and Movielink.

“Jamie and I have worked together for over 13 years and he has consistently shown himself to posses tremendous dealmaking creativity and a sharp business acumen,” Levinsohn said.

McCabe joined the pay TV unit at 20th Century Fox in 1993. Before that, he held positions with Disney and Merrill Lynch.
