Winslet, Norton to receive tributes

The Independent Film Project has announced its honorees and nominations for the 16th annual Gotham Awards skedded for Nov. 29 at Chelsea Piers’ Pier 60 in Manhattan.

Kate Winslet and Edward Norton will receive Gotham tributes for their segues between big budget films and indie fare. Others honored are 2929 Entertainment’s Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban. The inaugural World Cinema Tribute will be given to Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.
