AMPAS honors student filmmakers

Five foreign student filmmakers will compete for the Honorary Foreign Film award in the 33rd annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Student Academy Awards Competition.

The competitors are “Being Holger,” by Kasper Gardsoe of the National Film School of Denmark; “Elalini,” by Tristan Holmes of the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance; “The Measure of Things,” by Sven Bohse of Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany; “Melodrama,” by Filip Marczewski of the Polish National Film School; and “La Ruta Natural,” by Alex Pastor of the Superior Graduate School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia, Spain.

The winning filmmaker will attend the awards ceremony June 10 in Beverly Hills.
