Cumming tapped for Gotham awards

Favreau hosting simultaneous Guild event in Hollywood

Alan Cumming has been selected to host the 58th Writers Guild of America Awards in New York on Saturday at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Cumming starred in “X2” and “Spy Kids 3” and directed, co-produced and acted in “The Suffering Man’s Charity.” He won a Tony for acting in “Cabaret” and will return to Broadway this spring in “The Threepenny Opera” with Edie Falco.

Jon Favreau will host the simultaneous WGA Awards at the Hollywood Palladium.
