Adamson chosen for Intl. Filmmaker of the Year kudo

Cinema Expo has tapped Andrew Adamson, director of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” for its Intl. Filmmaker of the Year award.

Kudo will be presented June 29 at the Cinema Expo Awards ceremony in Amsterdam.

Adamson, a New Zealand native, made his feature directing debut on “Shrek” and also directed “Shrek 2.” He has two films in pre-production — “Shrek 3,” which will open May 2007, and “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” which is expected to start production by the end of the year.
