Triwongwaranat dies at 51

Teerachai Triwongwaranat, one of the leaders of the film-distribution sector in Asia, died Jan. 8 in Bangkok at the age of 51 after a long struggle with cancer.

Widely known as “TT,” the hugely popular Triwongwaranat retired in 2004 from Golden Harvest in Hong Kong in order to spend his last years with his family in Thailand.

A seven-day funeral ceremony will end Sunday with his cremation at Wat Hua Lumphong temple.
