Hong Kong-based entrepreneur Corrado Riccio unveiled here “The Counting House,” an English-language thriller starring Maggie Q (“MI3”), Michael Wong and Cheng Pei-pei (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”).
Story is set on a remote island where a series of murders appear to be linked to an experiment that took place years before.
It lensed in Hong Kong with territory standing in for the Tristan Da Cunha of Sabina Colloredo’s novel “La voce dell’Isola.”
Pic is helmed by Carlo Giuduce and Paolo Marcellini. A co-production between Riccio’s February Entertainment and Italy’s RAI Cinema, pic is in post-production. Riccio is seeking a sales agent to platform the movie at the November AFM.
Riccio, who runs a family investment portfolio of $75 million, has investments ranging from smart cards to publishing. He is eying other film investments.
