HONG KONG — Sydney Pollack-helmed documentary “Sketches of Frank Gehry” will be repped in international territories by Hong Kong and Amsterdam-based Fortissimo Films.
Pic screens at the Cannes Film Festival this month out of competition.
Feature-length docu uses architect Gehry’s original sketches for his projects to examine how he turns abstract drawings into tangible, three-dimensional models.
Pic also blends in interviews with former Disney topper Michael Eisner, Bob Geldof and Dennis Hopper. “Sketches” was produced by Ultan Guilfoyle.
License deals have already been struck with Pathe for France, Belgium and the Netherlands, and with Bim for Italy. Sony Picture Classics will release the film in North America this month.
