Fortissimo goes for ‘Glory’

Pic is set against the 1956 uprising in Hungary

TOKYO — Hungarian action-drama “Children of Glory” has been picked up in international markets by Hong Kong- and Amsterdam-based Fortissimo Films.

Pic, set against the 1956 uprising in Hungary, is helmed by Krisztina Goda (“Just Sex and Nothing Else”) and produced by Andy Vajna. It stars Kata Dobo (“Basic Instinct 2”) and Ivan Fenyo (“Jarhead”).

“Glory” was released Monday in Hungary, exactly 50 years after the beginning of the revolution, on 41 screens.

Fortissimo co-chair Michael J. Werner previously advised Vajna on the production. “It was a natural progression for Fortissimo to become actively involved as its international sales agent,” he said.
