Fortissimo Films, the Hong Kong sales agent with five films in the festival, has struck deals on its forthcoming Tian Zhuangzhuang-helmed biopic “The Go Master” with Japan’s SPO, Israel’s United King and Greece’s Village Roadshow.
Picture is in post-production with delivery set in time for the fall festival season.
SPO also grabbed “Invisible Waves,” which preemed in competition in Berlin. Pic is helmed by Pen-ek Ratanaruang. Another Berlin film, “Candy,” was sold to ICA Projects for the U.K.
Fortissimo also struck a multi-title deal with Thailand’s Mongkol, spanning “Taxidermia,” “Broken Sky” and “Cut Sleeve Boys.” Gypsy Caravan was licensed to France’s Pretty Pictures.
