Sony leads Blu-ray march to Japan

Studio releasing 12 titles, including 'Underworld'

TOKYO — Studio members of the Blu-ray camp will release 75 pics in the format in Japan, starting in November.

Sony will lead with 12 titles, including “Underworld 2: Evolution,” and will release another eight titles later, among them “The Da Vinci Code.”

Also debuting with 12 pics in November is Buena Vista Home Entertainment, including “Chicken Little,” while Warners will offer 10, including “Full Metal Jacket.”

Prices will range from nearly Y5,000 ($43) for new titles to $34.31 for classics like “Full Metal Jacket.”
