Reelz taps Nakov Web VP

Digital media vet to develop online biz

New film-focused cable net Reelz Channel has tapped digital media vet Phillip Nakov as VP of business development for its Web site.

Nakov will focus on driving traffic, generating revenue streams and forming partnerships for ReelzChannel.com.

He previously worked at CountingDown.com, a movie site bought by DreamWorks and Imagine Entertainment as part of their failed Pop.com online venture. The popular site continues to operate despite the flameout of Pop.

Nakov co-founded CountingDown in 1998 and oversaw day-to-day operations.
