Fourteen-year Discovery veteran Clint Stinchcomb has been upped to exec VP and general manager for HDTV and New Media.
In his new role, Stinchcomb will oversee all programming, production, development and operations for Discovery HD Theater and TURBO, Discovery’s new multiplatform brand in the U.S.
He will continue to manage new media operations and partnerships for Discovery’s other platform businesses, including mobile, wireless, satellite radio and Discovery on Demand.
Most recently, Stinchcomb served as senior VP of new media operations, responsible for the launch, implementation and oversight of Discovery’s global new media businesses.
Stinchcomb joined the company in 1992 as part of TLC’s affiliate sales and marketing group.
