TORONTO — NBC Universal and the Canadian Film Center announced a partnership Wednesday to help industryites use new platforms.
“People don’t think about using their content in other ways until way, way late in the food chain,” said CFC executive director Slawko Klymkiw, talking about the NBC Universal multiplatform program. “This is an intense development process that begins right at the outset of a project.”
Further details about the program have yet to be announced.
In addition, the Canadian Film Center unveiled a rebranding and name change. The new Web site to go with the change is www.cfccreates.com.
Other initiatives in the works at CFC include international co-production and script development, an actors’ conservatory, and feature film and interactive cinema programs that will roll out in the next couple of years.
