Bonnett, Brustrom, Moon take over TV toon arm
Disney Channel is beefing up its programming ranks, upping senior execs Adam Bonnett and Jeff Brustrom and hiring award-winning producer Mike Moon (“Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends”) to oversee the cabler’s animated series biz.
As senior VP of original series, Bonnett will oversee all development and current series for Disney and the action-adventure block Jetix. He reports directly to Gary Marsh, who was elevated to entertainment of Disney Channel Worldwide last fall (Daily Variety, Sept. 6).
Bonnett’s direct reports will be Brustrom, VP of live-action series, and Moon, VP of animated series. Moon signed an overall production pact at sister studio Walt Disney Television Animation last spring (Daily Variety, March 16).
Brustrom will manage development and current programming for Disney’s live-action series. He was instrumental in developing signature series “That’s So Raven” and “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”
Moon recently won an Annie Award as part of the “Foster’s Team” for production design on the episode “A Lost Claus.” Other credits include “Mickey’s Mouseworks,” “The Powerpuff Girls,” “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “The Simpsons.”
