Distrib signs 3-year deal with digital unit

Icon Film Distribution has inked a three-year deal with Arts Alliance Media, Europe’s leading digital film distribution outfit, to make Icon pics available for U.K. consumers to download-to-rent.

Icon films including “Match Point,” “What Women Want” and “Dogville” will be available through the Lovefilm Web site, in which AAM is the major shareholder.

Icon titles will also be available from AOL, with whom AAM has an exclusive partnership.

AAM has digital content distribution agreements with Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Universal, Momentum, Tartan and Fremantle, among others.
