Pact will help filmmakers with submission process

Online network site Withoutabox.com has formed a partnership with Filmfestivals.com aimed at fest professionals.

The companies said the alliance would allow them to offer marketing services and information sources to fully promote feature films.

They noted filmmakers will be able to submit films to festivals using the Withoutabox submission engine directly from the FilmFestivals.com website along with promoting information exchange among festival directors, staff, and filmgoers through Withoutabox’s message boards and the Audience social networking platform. FilmFestivals.com will provide Withoutabox with news from festivals and act as a conduit for filmmakers and festivals.

“This is a natural alliance for us, one that allows us to provide even greater services for our member filmmakers and festivals,” David Straus, Withoutabox CEO and co-founder. Withoutabox was founded six years ago by Straus and Joe Neulight to facilitate the independent film festival submission process for indie filmmakers.

Withoutabox.com allows filmmakers to upload film credits, territory rights, press kits, photos and other services for the submission process. Withoutabox now has a member base of 100,000 filmmakers and 2,000 festivals around the world.
