Festival runs July 14-16 at Singapore Expo
Speakers from the world’s biggest CG studios will participate in panels at Asia’s largest computer graphics and animation event, the CG Overdrive Festival, to be held July 14-16 at Singapore Expo.
Fest includes a Digital Film Screenings section as well as a digital art gallery, exhibition, software clinics and Recruitment Overdrive.
Speakers at the three-day conference will include industry experts from Pixar Animation Studios, Polygon Pictures, Double Negative, Halon Entertainment and Robot Communication. Conference sessions will cover a wide range of computer graphics, animation and gaming topics.
Digital Film Screenings feature 15 animation works selected by an international panel. These will unspool alongside shorts produced by renowned studios and CG filmmakers.
A Singapore CG village will showcase the work of artists and production companies from local industry.
Exhibition will comprise latest creative CG products and services, while software clinics will offer hands-on demonstration from CG specialists. Networking and employment opportunities will be available within the Recruitment Overdrive.
Event is supported by Media Development Authority as the government looks to boost the local media industry.
