ESPN Star Sports has teamed with Bridge Mobile Alliance and NeuStar to launch Mobile ESPN, which will debut with the 2006 World Cup.

Service will be offered by Bridge Mobile Alliance’s member operators in India, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia. Combined customer base of member telcos is some 80 million mobile phone subscribers.

Content deal is Bridge Mobile’s first as part of its regional mobile service strategy.

Licensing rights have been secured via NeuStar Asia Pacific to distribute ESPN Star Sports content to its Bridge Mobile Alliance member operators in the seven Asian markets.
