DVD distrib adopted

Kadokawa Herald has made DVD distrib Kadokawa Entertainment a wholly owned subsidiary.

Company mainly distribs DVDs from films produced by the Kadokawa Group and DreamWorks, a Kadokawa Group partner. In fiscal 2005 its revenues totaled $129 million.

Kadokawa Herald also boosted its investment in multiplex operator United Cinema from 3.33% to 20%, effective Aug. 1. United’s majority stakeholders remain the Sumitomo trading house and the Kadokawa Group.
