Production of digital content shifted to the TV, movie divisions
Warner Bros. has found a home for the tech employees from its recently shuttered WB Online division, moving them to a new unit called Warner Bros. Advanced Digital Services & Technology Systems Development and tapping business development exec Vicky Colf to run it.
Studio shut down WB Online, a division dedicated to creating content for its Web site, several months ago. Production of digital content has been moved to the TV and movie divisions, including the recently formed “Studio 2.0.”
New unit will oversee technical systems for the distribution of content online and to wireless devices. It also will handle implementation of a project that is digitizing all aspects of film production and distribution.
Colf joined WB in 2004 as VP of corporate business development and strategy. She was previously a consultant to the studio for Accenture, working on digital asset management and antipiracy efforts.
She reports to exec VP distribution and technology operations Darcy Antonellis.
