Netco pacts with has forged a deal with MySpace to provide online ticketing services.

Partnership with the Web’s fifth biggest site extends the Netco’s lead over competitor Fandango in distribution deals. MovieTickets recently took the Yahoo! deal from its competitor and also sells tickets through Google and AOL.

Fandango is partnered with IMDb and is otherwise focused on its own Web site, which draws more direct traffic than MovieTickets.

MovieTickets sales are part of a new “movies” section on News Corp.-owned MySpace that also includes wire stories and trailers.

Despite its heavy traffic, especially among teens, MySpace may not sell as many tickets as sites like Yahoo! Movies, AOL Moviefone and IMDb, which offer exclusive movie news and information.
