Loews disconnect: Day 3

Web access lags

As AFM headed into the weekend, primed to pick up, Internet access at the Loews fizzled for a third excruciating day. Acquisitions execs said they didn’t mind as they whizzed about with their BlackBerrys.

But for those doing work at desks, the tech meltdown was taking its toll. Some began grousing about getting refunds for the poor service. Loews brass said an equipment malfunction occurred on the first day with too many users online, but they hadn’t really been able to solve the problem more than 72 hours later. Stay tuned …
