BERLIN — SevenOne Intl., the international distribution division of Haim Saban’s ProSiebenSat 1 TV group, has inked a sales partnership with Venezuela’s Spiral Intl. for the Latin American market.
Caracas-based Spiral distributes scripted and nonscripted TV productions and will now carry SevenOne’s diverse portfolio of series, sitcoms, miniseries, movies, documentaries, magazines, animation and formats out of Caracas and Miami.
“With 100 million TV households, Latin America is a market almost as big as the U.S.,” said Jens Richter, SevenOne’s managing director.
Spiral sales manager Leyla Formoso said, “SevenOne Intl. offers exactly what audiences in Latin American countries want to see: action and catastrophe film events, romantic comedies, fun shows and exciting magazines.”
SevenOne has until now focused on Europe and Asia. It will present its portfolio jointly with Spiral at the L.A. Screenings.
Among SevenOne titles are hit mini “The Airlift,” about the U.S. action that saved West Berlin from a post-war Soviet blockade, which has already sold in Europe and Asia; “Rapture of the Deep,” a two-part adventure set in Australia; kidpic “The Canterville Ghost” and actioner “Full Throttle.”
