World Brief

Kidvidder EM.TV reported first half revenues of €122 million ($156 million), 21% up on the first half of 2005.

This was partially attributable to the full consolidation of subsidiary Creation Club, and the production company Yoram Gross-EM.TV in the first quarter.

On a comparable basis, the adjusted sales growth amounted to 9.9%, the company said. Operating profit was $17.9 million.

While the group’s sports division benefited from the soccer World Cup in the second quarter, the entertainment division cashed in on the extension of program deals with pubcaster ZDF.
