LONDON — ITV has nabbed three “brand-defining shows” from the L.A. Screenings for its portfolio of digital channels — all crime sagas.
They are “Smith,” from John Wells Prods. in association with Warner Bros. TV, and starring Emmy winner Ray Liotta; “The Black Donnellys,” from NBC Universal, set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, and “Raines,” also from NBC Universal and featuring Jeff Goldblum playing a maverick LAPD detective.
They will air, respectively, on male-skewed ITV4, youth-skewed ITV2 and ITV3, aimed at older auds.
ITV acquisitions topper Jay Kandola said, “With this lineup we have found truly brand-defining shows for each of the channels.
“What we wanted were shows that reinforced the messages behind each channel and appealed to their target audiences, and that is what we have got in these three fresh and distinctive shows.”
