SYDNEY — As part of a slew of recent deals, paybox Foxtel announced Monday it has renewed its programming output deal with CBS Paramount Intl. Television.
Deal includes reality skein “America’s Next Top Model,” entertainment skein “The Insider” and quizzer “Jeopardy.”
Paybox also retains the rights to produce more series of local hit “Australia’s Next Top Model.”
Brian Walsh, Foxtel’s marketing and TV topper, said the deal also gives access to a “prolific slate of mainstream entertainment programming that includes ‘Sex and the City,’ ‘Touched by an Angel,’ ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ ‘Judging Amy’ and ‘The Late Show With David Letterman.’ ”
In the past two weeks Foxtel has re-upped deals with reality producer Mark Burnett as well as Paramount, Sony, 20th Century Fox and Universal for content on its Showtime movie channels.
