Foxtel, Austar ink with Virgin Blue

Feevee operators Foxtel and Austar have inked with local budget airline Virgin Blue for an Aussie first, live pay-per-view TV on planes.

Live2air, developed with Stateside company Live TV, will have 24 channels including Fox Sports and flagship channel Fox8 available for A$9 ($6.80) a journey.

LiveTV provides TV to a range of low-cost American airlines including WestJet and JetBlue, who were the first to get the system in 1999.
