Endemol alums take Fruitlounge stake

Media co. created out of Fruitlounge-Marketgraph merger

LONDON — Dutch Van den Ende and Deitmers Crossmedia Fund, the venture capital venture of Joop van den Ende and his former Endemol colleague Hubert Deitmers, has acquired a 30% stake in interactive formats specialist Fruitlounge Media.

“We are enthusiastic about the plans and ambitions of the company and are looking forward to deploying our experience and network to further establish the business of Fruitlounge internationally,” Deitmers said in a statement.

Fruitlounge Media was created out of a recent merger between the Fruitlounge and Marketgraph, two companies with a background in the development of interactive television formats, broadcast design and real-time SMS/MMS exploitation services.

The Hilversum-based company now produces interactive formats, broadcast design and music for broadcasters, producers and advertisers in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Its services and formats generate 1,200 hours of television a month.

Van den Ende and Deitmers set up their E150 million ($181.4 million) fund earlier this year. It has also invested in Dutch TV production firm Eyeworks.
