Fremantle Intl. Distribution has secured a number of European deals for U.S. teen drama “Falcon Beach” after its debut at the L.A. Screenings.
The one-hour drama, which debuts Sunday on ABC Family, was snapped up by French commercial web M6 and an unnamed terrestrial broadcaster in the U.K. A rep for Channel 4 said it has not picked up the show, meaning the buyer is either the BBC, ITV or Five.
Series also was bought by TV2 in Denmark, TV4 in Sweden, SBS-owned TV Norge in Norway, Channel 4 in Finland, Nederland 3 and Iceland’s Sirkus.
Produced by Insight Prods and Original Pictures, with Canada’s Global TV and ABC Family, the 26-part, coming-of-age drama centers around the lives and loves of a group of young men and women living in a fictional lakeside resort town.
