Raid targets piracy

Taiwanese police shut down two Web sites suspected of illegally distributing pirate movies.

Move followed raid on four premises and seizure of four servers hosting content for the ezPeer and heymovie.com sites. Police arrested the site administrator and one site user suspected of uploading movies to the sites.

The Motion Picture Assn. calculates that worldwide some $2.3 billion a year is lost by its members to Internet piracy.
