1956: Bogart recovering in Palm Springs

GOOD MORNINGS ahead for Humphrey Bogart. He completed X-ray treatments to insure the success of his recent surgery, for removal of the malignant growth on his esophagus. We visited him while in Palm Springs for the ‘That Certain Feeling’ preem and he sez he’s feeling fine with the exception of weakness due to the missing 25 pounds. But he’ll gain ’em back soon. Betty Bacall’s confident of his progress and she decided to accept summer film offers. (On Jan.14, 1957, Humphrey Bogart died of cancer of the esophagus.)
